To represent leading edge Technology Solutions, Products, and Services for cost effective performance, reliability, operational flexibility, and environmentally friendly mission-critical power infrastructures. MaxnetPower specifically targets companies that would experience operational, financial, or legal liability from a mission-critical power infrastructure disturbance.
Over the past decade the demand for reliable, high-quality electric power has grown dramatically. This growth is directly related to the tremendous growth of technology and the increased use of microprocessors in all aspects of our lives and businesses. Specifically, with today advanced digital computing,
communications, process control and medical systems require power protection that is just as innovative. I.e. high quality power sensitive electronics, new power quality level requirements are far beyond what the existing utility power grid was built to deliver.
While "Passive" battery monitoring systems are a great improvement over quarterly PM's - they detect in advance batteries that are on their way out - they do nothing to improve their service life - "Passive" battery monitoring systems let you watch your batteries failing.
MaxnetPower offers an “active” battery monitoring system that conditions each and all batteries to maximize their available capacity, Extends their service life beyond the expected 3½ - 5 years (for 12V. VRLA 10-year rated batteries) or 9-12 years ( for 2V 20-year rated VRLA or Flooded batteries), Allows to mix new and old batteries within the same string which renders unnecessary any full string replacement. All these added benefits save the end-user valuable OPEX and CAPEX funds while the performance and the sustainability of the battery system remain optimum.
Batteries do fail prematurely due to overcharging/dry out (VRLA batteries) or undercharging (sulfation in VRLA batteries and stratification in wet cells). The problem is the charging. Connected in a string, all batteries share the same charge current. Chargers cannot tell the difference between old, new or degraded batteries/jars or strings - this leads to the overcharging and/or undercharging of some of the batteries within a string, which in turn leads to premature degradation and replacement.
Studies have shown that this problem would be altogether alleviated if each battery could be charged to its nominal voltage at all times (White paper by P. Krein: Equalization of VRLA batteries: Issues and life test results).
The bottom line: it’s a Battery “ACTIVE” Conditioning & Management System that extends the battery life expectancy up to 80%, within the exact requirements of the Battery Manufacture’s Specifications (i.e., float charge on a 12v battery 13.5V + .10v or on a 2v battery 2.25V + .01v), plus extending warranty or out of warranty guarantees (i.e., 4th & 5th years or longer on a 10 year rated VRLA).
What we are representing has a significant effect on the Reliability, Capacity and Longevity of your batteries, which has a sizable financial impact on the bottom line for new and, especially, existing aged batteries (instant ROI).
Among industry experts, it is common knowledge that other than temperature, it is the charging (over and under) that has the most significant effect on the battery capacity and life expectancy.
We are the only system that actually conditions by controlling the amount of individual charge Jar/cells receive (as need 24/7/365). By doing this, we extend the life of the Jars by 50%+ (80%+ with Managed service “Guarantee” program), from the traditional VRLA 3½-5 yrs. service life to 8-10 years, or Flooded 10-12 years to 18-20 yrs.
Please do not confuse what we do with companies that offer Battery Monitoring Systems (e.g., BTech, Alber, Canara and Cellwatch).
All Battery Monitoring Systems are PASSIVE (“They watch your batteries fail!”) and don't do the following:
• Extend service life cycle by stabilizing or lowering ohmic value, thereby raising capacity and assuring longer run-time performance and availability
• Hold individual jars to manufacturer stated float charge levels to +/- 1/100 of a volt thus producing ideal "Formation" Process, Extending Reliability, Capacity, and Longevity
• Prevent most common failure modes in batteries due to over/under charging, Gassing/Dry-out and Sulfating/stratification
• Stop Thermal Runaway and Cell Reversal with Temperature agent on every JAR!
• Stop new replacement Jars and new strings from inter-reacting with each other and prematurely aging new Jars/strings
• Stop wholesale premature replacements of battery systems and individual Jars
• Offer Instant ROI on existing aged strings - plus new installation on 2v, 6v, 12v & 16v VRLA 10/20yrs
• “Automatic Cell Level Conditioning” 7/24/365 (as needed only)
